McIlroy plans busy schedule after break

Rory McIlroy took off the final three months of the year to heal his body and clear his mind, and he appears eager to get back to work.

With a series of announcements over the last week, McIlroy revealed what likely will be his most ambitious schedule ahead of Augusta National in the 10 years he has been eligible for the Masters.

The most McIlroy has ever played before the Masters was seven tournaments - in 2009, the first year he was eligible for all four majors, and in 2016. Next year he is planning to play eight.

Sharma wins Joburg for first Euro title

JOHANNESBURG (AP) Shubhankar Sharma won his first European Tour title by a shooting 3-under 69 Monday in the final round of the weather-delayed Joburg Open.

VIRGINIA WATER, England (AP) Sergio Garcia has been voted as the European Tour's golfer of the year after claiming his first major title at the Masters and winning two more events in 2017.

Yin wins Dubai Ladies Classic in playoff

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) American Angel Yin won the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic in a playoff Sunday, beating South Korea's In-Kyung Kim with a birdie on the second extra hole.

The 19-year-old Yin won with a tap-in birdie on the drivable 17th hole. The victory in the Ladies European Tour season finale is her first on a major tour. Read More...
