Analysis: If the 76ers do someday get the forward from Australia along with recent high picks Joel Embiid and Dario Saric on the court with second-year forward Jahlil Okafor, the future could be bright after a dismal recent past.

The No. 1 overall pick has been in a pass-first mode all week and coach Brett Brown has hinted at the possibility of using him at point guard once the season begins.
Analysis: One of the few holes in Simmons' game is his shooting, and opponents in summer league are already laying off him to try to make it harder for Simmons to get to the rim. He can expect to see even more of that when the NBA season begins.

Analysis: DeAngelo Russell made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lead the Lakers over the 76ers 70-69. He finished with 22 points. Simmons is expected to be the top rookie chosen in fantasy drafts next season.

He also put a scare into 76ers fans when he left the game in the fourth quarter due to cramps in both calves. Simmons finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists in just under 24 minutes of play.
Analysis: The 6-foot-10, 240-pounder displayed why the 76ers will use him as a point forward at times by grabbing rebounds, pushing the ball up floor and dishing out assists in transition. Summer league is his first taste of the NBA, but Simmons said he's not measuring himself against the rest of his class. Cramps in his right calf began to bother him in the third quarter, but he stretched out and returned without issue.
